Mae’n bosib y bydd hi’n bwrw eira yn ystod y misoedd nesaf a hoffwn rannu darnau o weithdrefnau tywydd garw’r ysgol gyda chi.

Bydd yr ysgol ar agor fel arfer oni bai ein bod ni yn eich hysbysu. Pan fyddwn yn medru agor yr ysgol yn dilyn tywydd garw fe ofynnwn yn garedig i chi fod yn ofalus iawn wrth i chi gyrraedd yr ysgol. Yn sgil ein safle newydd, ni fydd yn bosib i raenau a chlirio holl dir yr ysgol. Mi fydd y gofalydd ond yn raenu y prif  llwybr o’r maes parcio i ddrws y           neuadd. Cadwch at y llwybr yma yn unig. O ganlyniad, bydd pob disgybl, yn cael mynediad i’r ysgol trwy ddrws y stiwdio a nid trwy’r gat ochor sydd yn arwain i gefn yr ysgol.

Fe fydd y penderfyniad i gau’r ysgol neu beidio yn cael ei wneud yn gynnar yn y bore gan y pennaeth. Fe fyddwn ni yn hysbysu cau’r ysgol ar safwe’r Sir (http://ysgolionargau.sirgar.llyw.cymru/), ar ein gwefan www.ysgolparcytywyn.co.uk a hefyd ar ein tudalen trydar @ParcyTywyn.

Os fydd y tywydd yn troi’n arw yn ystod y dydd, y pennaeth a’r dirprwy bydd yn gwneud y penderfyniad i gau’r ysgol neu beidio. Yn ogystal, byddwn yn danfon neges testun atoch i’ch hysbysu - dyletswydd rhieni yw hysbysu’r ysgol os ydy’r rhifau cyswllt yn newid!

Rydyn ni yn dibynnu ar synnwyr cyffredin y rhieni. Os ydy’r tywydd yn troi’n arw dewch i gasglu eich plentyn yn syth os gwelwch yn dda. Fe fydd ffôn yr ysgol yn cael ei ddefnyddio’n gyson felly mae’n go debyg na fyddwch yn gallu  siarad ag aelod o staff!

Mae dyletswydd gofal gyda ni ar ran staff hefyd a fe fydd y staff yn cael eu hanfon adref os oes angen. Ond fe fydd o leiaf un oedolyn ar ôl yn yr ysgol nes bod pob un plentyn wedi gadael.

Just in case there might be snow during the next month or so, we would like to share our inclement weather procedures with you.

The school will be open as usual unless otherwise advertised. When the school is able to open following adverse weather, we ask that you take great care as you arrive at the school.  In respect of our new school site, it will be impossible to salt and clear the whole school site. The caretaker will salt the main pathway from the carpark to the hall door. Everyone must keep to this cleared path. Consequently, every child will enter the school building through the hall door and not through the gate which leads to the rear of the school as per usual.

The decision to close the school will be made early in the morning by the head teacher and the deputy. The closure of the school will be advertised on the county website (http://schoolclosures.carmarthenshire.gov.uk.wales/), on the school website www.ysgolparcytywyn.co.uk and on our twitter page (@ParcyTywyn).

If the weather turns nasty during the day then again, the decision to close the school will be made by the head teacher and the deputy head teacher. Once again, the closure of the school will be advertised on the county website (http://schoolclosures.carmarthenshire.gov.uk.wales/), on the school website www.ysgolparcytywyn.co.uk and on our twitter page (@ParcyTywyn). In addition, parents will be informed via a text message - it is your responsibility to inform the school of any changes to your contact numbers.

We also depend on the common sense of our parents. If the weather is bad then please come and collect your child. The telephone will be in constant use under such circumstances, therefore it is very unlikely that you will be able to speak to a member of staff!

The school also has a duty of care for everyone and staff members could also be sent home early. However, there will be at least one member of staff in the school until all the children have been collected.
